黄瓜是我国广泛栽培的重要蔬菜之一。果肉颜色是黄瓜重要的品质性状,黄色或橙色果肉黄瓜中富含类胡萝卜素,尤其是β-胡萝卜素是重要的维生素A合成前体,对人体健康具有重要作用。目前黄瓜栽培种的果肉颜色单一,仅部分半野生西双版纳黄瓜及其衍生系呈橙色或黄色果肉。因此,探明黄瓜黄色果肉的遗传机制,挖掘黄色果肉关键基因将为黄瓜品质分子遗传改良奠定理论基础。
