该品种是以肾唇虾脊兰Calanthebrevicornu为母本，虾脊兰Calanthediscolor为父本杂交选育获得。株高30-45cm。花葶从假茎上端的叶间发出，远高出叶层外，密被短毛；总状花序长达30厘米，疏生多数花；萼片和花瓣黄绿色；花瓣长圆状披针形，比萼片短，先端锐尖，具3条脉，无毛；唇盘具3条黄色的高褶片。花期3-4月。
